Apps by Charlie

The fine print.

Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of appsbycharlie.com and the pages under it. Using the site means accepting them. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple and complete: stop using the site.

They do not cover the apps themselves. Each app is licensed to you separately, under its own terms and under Apple’s standard licence, and where an app’s terms and these disagree about that app, its terms win.

What this site is

Apps by Charlie is the publishing name of Charlie Bieger, an independent developer. This site describes the apps and links to the App Store. It sells nothing, hosts no downloads, and takes no payment.

Eagle One is released. Savory and Wishlist are in development. Anything said here about an unreleased app describes an intention, not a commitment: features may change and either may never ship. Nothing on this site is an offer, a contract, or a promise of a release date.

Using the site

You may read these pages, link to them, and quote them with attribution. You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to break it or to gain access to anything not offered to you, no scraping it in a way that degrades it for others, and no using it to do something unlawful.

Accuracy

The descriptions here are written carefully and can still be wrong or out of date. Screenshots show a version that may no longer be current, and a feature described here may have changed in the shipping app. Where this site and the app disagree, the app is what you actually have.

Links to other places

Links leave for the App Store and for other sites we do not control. What happens once you arrive is between you and whoever runs the place you arrived at, under their terms and their privacy policy. A link is not an endorsement and is certainly not a warranty.

What belongs to whom

The text, layout, photography, icons and code of this site belong to Charlie Bieger. The app names and marks belong to him too. Apple, the Apple logo and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here to refer to Apple’s store, and nothing on this site is endorsed by or affiliated with Apple.

You may quote and link. You may not pass this work off as your own, or use the names or marks in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.

Availability

This is one person’s site. It may be offline, moved, rewritten or withdrawn at any time, without notice and without anything being owed to you for it. Pages may disappear; old links may stop working.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. It is not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of anything harmful.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Charlie Bieger is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit or goodwill, arising out of your use of this site — and this is a free informational site, so no theory of liability should get far in any case.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, and in those places these limits apply only as far as they are permitted.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date below changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the new version. Previous wording is in the site’s repository history.
